Livre

This is a 3D parkour game developed by the Stoned Cat Studios team. I participated in the game's creation.

Inspiration

The idea came from the thought of creating a fusion between the games “Mirrors Edge” and “Jet Set Radio,” combining the fluid movement system and a colourful, vibrant world for the player to run through. As this was set we also thought of using the favela areas of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as the inspiration of the environment as cramp, tight spaces create an interesting landscape for a parkour game, creating different open pathways for the player to choose from. Another big part of inspiration was the quote from Cyberpunk 2077 Edgerunners “Run is what you do best”.

Gameplay

As a high-speed parkour game Livre’s gameplay is heavily reliant on momentum
and fast movement. Player is traversing from level to level before time runs out
until the final level, where the player is able to choose the ending. Each level has
multiple paths, making the game replayable.
